Nghe An: Highlights on October 18

* Morning of October 18, closing sessionNational Congress of Vietnam Fatherland FrontThe 10th Congress, term 2024 - 2029 was solemnly held at the National Convention Center, Hanoi after more than 2 days of urgent and responsible work, with the spirit of solidarity, democracy, innovation and creativity.

At the congress, comrade Do Van Chien was highly trusted and elected to continue holding the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

* On the afternoon of October 18, the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, 2021-2026, held the 23rd session (Special session).The meeting passed 25 resolutions.on urgent issues within its authority to serve socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security.

In his closing speech, on behalf of the Provincial People's Council, comrade Thai Thanh Quy requested the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, localities and relevant units to focus on synchronously and drastically implementing solutions so that the recently passed resolutions can soon take effect.

* Also at this session,The Provincial People's Council has approved the draft resolution.on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, labor contract workers, part-time workers and other subjects redundant due to the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels in the province;investment policy decision for 2 projectsconstruction of roads in Nghi Loc and Nam Dan districts with a total investment of 570 billion VND. Specifically, the draft resolution on investment policy for the project to build a road connecting the coastal road with the Bai Lu Urban, Tourism and Sports Area, Nghi Loc district and the road project connecting National Highway 46 with Provincial Road 542D, Provincial Road 540 and the Special National Monument of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district was approved.

* October 17, in Bologna province,Nghe An province working groupattended the Vietnam - Italy Local Partnership and Cooperation Conference co-organized by the Vietnamese Embassy and the Emilia - Romagna Regional Government.

The Local Connection Conference is the first initiative held in the Republic of Italy to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.

* Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 9005/UBND-NN on the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 100/CD-TTg dated September 27, 2024 of the Prime Minister.

The document aims to implement the Prime Minister's direction on focusing on directing and implementing measures.quickly restore agricultural productionAfter storm No. 3 (Yagi) and floods, to urgently restore and develop agricultural, forestry and fishery production, ensure food supply, contribute to controlling inflation and overcoming the consequences of floods, and stabilize people's lives.

* On the morning of October 18, the Provincial People's Committee organized aLaunching a special emulation movementin the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

The competition is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1, from now until February 3, 2025, on the occasion of "celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Phase 2 from February 4, 2025 to August 19, 2025, on the occasion of "celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution.
