Nghe An: Highlights on August 19

*Today is August 19,77th anniversary of August Revolution1945. To clarify the significance and historical value of the August Revolution, Nghe An Newspaper interviewed Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hong - Chairman of Nghe An Historical Science Association.

*Also on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the 77th anniversary of the Provincial Armed Forces Tradition Day (August 21, 1945 - August 21, 2022), on the morning of August 19, the delegation of the Provincial Military Command led by Colonel Pham Van Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Military Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command came tooffering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minhat Kim Lien National Special Historical Site and heroic martyrs at Vinh City Martyrs Cemetery.

*Morning of August 19,The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a thematic meeting.Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

At the conference, comrades in the Provincial Socio-Economic Advisory Group discussed and contributed ideas to the third draft of the Report summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on directions and tasks for the development of Nghe An province to 2020. This report has been reviewed, adjusted and supplemented by the Editorial Team after receiving comments from the Provincial Party Committee at the Conference held on August 9, 2022.

Through the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy requested the members of the Advisory Group to continue to pay attention to researching and proposing specific outstanding mechanisms, institutions and policies to help Nghe An develop; as well as give opinions on the goals and targets for the province's development in the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045 to ensure feasibility in order to contribute to completing the draft report to the Central Steering Committee on building a Project to summarize 10 years of implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo.

*On the morning of August 19, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organizedHo Xuan Huong Literature and Arts Award Ceremony6th time (2015 - 2020). At the ceremony, 74 authors/groups of authors received the award named after the great female poet of the nation, of her homeland Nghe An.

The award attracted 120 authors (including 7 authors/groups of authors from outside the province), 197 works/groups of works in 9 majors (Literature, Poetry, Theater, Criticism, Folklore, Music, Photography, Fine Arts and Dance).

After more than 4 months of work, the Council for the 6th Ho Xuan Huong Literature and Arts Award has selected 74 high-quality works/groups of works, and proposed that the Provincial People's Committee issue a decision to award the awards. On August 4, 2022, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2287/QD-UBND recognizing and awarding Certificates of Merit and bonuses to the authors/groups of authors who won the awards (including 7 A prizes; 15 B prizes; 23 C prizes and 29 Encouragement prizes).

*On the morning of August 19, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation led by Comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation had a meeting.supervision of medical examination and treatmentat the Northwest Regional General Hospital.

Working with the delegation, the leaders of the Northwest General Hospital reflected that the current problem at the hospital is that the number of beds according to the design plan is 450 beds, but the actual number of beds is 900 beds; at times up to 1,110 beds. The overload of patients has caused a lot of pressure on the unit. To meet the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of the people, the hospital recommends that the superior agency issue specific instructions for the hospital to expand its facilities.

The leaders of the Northwest Regional General Hospital also proposed that the Ministry of Health amend Circular 15/2019/TT-BYT dated July 11, 2019 regulating drug bidding at public health facilities.

*After Nghe An Newspaper reported, Quynh Luu district identified the person who organized the illegal mineral exploitation at Thung Buong cliff. For now, this person has beenfined nearly 1 billion dong.

Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh - Vice Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee said that the locality has taken drastic actions to strictly handle the case.

According to Mr. Dinh, after getting involved, the district identified Mr. Le Huy Dung (41 years old, Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc district) as the person who organized the illegal mineral exploitation. The district made a record and temporarily detained 2 excavators.

Recently, Mr. Hoang Van Bo - Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee issued a decision to administratively fine Mr. Le Huy Dung 50 million VND for exploiting common construction materials without using industrial explosives without a license from a competent state agency in Thung Buong area. The volume of minerals exploited was determined to be 180m3.
