Nghe An: Highlights of April 25th

* On the morning of April 25th,Standing Committee of the Steering Committee of Nghe An ProvinceRegarding the rearrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units and the establishment of a two-tiered local government organizational model, a meeting was held to implement the contents in the coming period. * On the morning of April 25th, the Nghe An Provincial Political School organized...Provincial-level scientific conferencewith the theme "50 years of the historic victory of the resistance war against the US to save the country (1975 - 2025) and lessons from the practical experience of Nghe An province in the current cause of building and protecting the Fatherland".

* On the afternoon of April 25th, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of emulation leading up to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Party Agencies in Nghe An province organized a “Reunion Day – Proud of our homeland"In 2025, the program includes many meaningful and practical activities, rich in political education, inspiring action, and fostering unity among youth union members."

* On the morning of April 25th, the Nghe An Provincial Council for New Rural Development Assessment held a meeting.Voting to assess communes that meet the standards of model new rural areas.In 2024, following a vote, the members of the Provincial New Rural Development Assessment Council unanimously approved the proposal for the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to recognize 4 communes as model new rural areas in 2024.

Specifically, Yen Son commune, Do Luong district, has achieved the model new rural standard in terms of security and order; Tan Son commune, Do Luong district, has achieved the model new rural standard in terms of culture; Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, has achieved the model new rural standard in terms of security and order; and Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district, has achieved the model new rural standard in terms of digital transformation.

Following the reorganization, Vinh City reduced its number of wards and communes from 33 to 6 (a reduction of 27 wards and communes). The newly reorganized wards are named: Vinh I, Vinh II, Vinh III, Vinh IV, Vinh V, and Cua Lo.
