As of tonight, Nghe An has about 1,000 people being quarantined at the provincial level. |
Thus, Nghe An only needs 1 day to temporarily stop receiving citizens from other provinces for quarantine in order to prepare facilities for newly arranged quarantine areas.
Previously, due to the risk of overload in the provincial quarantine areas, Nghe An had to urgently arrange additional quarantine areas along Highway 7. Due to the need for time to purchase facilities, on the afternoon of March 21, Nghe An had to issue a document requesting the provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh to temporarily stop transferring citizens to Nghe An for quarantine.
In recent days, Nghe An has shared with Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces when continuously receiving hundreds of citizens transferred from these provinces. These are citizens returning from Laos and Thailand through Cau Treo and Cha Lo border gates to avoid the epidemic. Although according to regulations, citizens returning through the border gate of which province are responsible for receiving and quarantining, regardless of which locality they are citizens from. This is to minimize travel and avoid spreading the disease to the community if there is a case of infection.
According to the Department of Health, Nghe An has 21 people quarantined at the hospital, all of whom are in stable health. The total number of people sampled is 324, of which 199 are awaiting results.
