Nghe An: Handing over 2 rare red-faced monkeys to Pu Mat National Park
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 18, the Anh Son District Forest Protection Department (Nghe An) organized the return of two red-faced monkeys, a rare species in the world's Red Book, to Pu Mat National Park for release into the wild.

In 2016, Mr. Ho Van Son's family in village 3, Binh Son commune, Anh Son district bought two red-faced monkeys from people in Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district to raise in captivity.
Up to now, the two red-faced monkeys have grown rapidly. Through inspection and monitoring, the Anh Son District Forest Protection Department has persuaded the family to return them to the authorities for care and conservation, and at the appropriate time, they can be released back into the wild.

On October 18, Mr. Ho Van Son's family returned two red-faced monkeys to the Anh Son District Forest Ranger Department to take them to Pu Mat National Park to raise.
Each monkey weighs from 6 to 7 kg. These monkeys were purchased by people from illegal wildlife trading, hunting, and transportation.
These monkeys, after being cared for at the Animal Rescue Center of Pu Mat National Park, will be released back into the natural environment.
