Nghe An: Dismantling a lottery ring with transaction value of 4 billion VND/day

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, from mid-March 2021, Quynh Luu District Police discovered 3 ringleaders of the ring.gambleillegally in the form of recording lottery numbers via Zalo and Facebook applications, including: Ho Trong Dung, born in 1982, the leader, and two subjects Ho Van Tu, born in 1973; Pham Dinh Luong, born in 1971, both residing in Hamlet 4, Quynh Luong Commune, Quynh Luu District.

To deceive the authorities, the ring leaders were extremely vigilant, hired guards, locked the doors, frequently changed their communication methods, and only accepted batch numbers and numbers from agents, not accepting individual sales. Faced with this situation, Quynh Luu District Police coordinated with professional units to establish a special project to fight and eradicate the ring.

At around 7:00 p.m. on April 5, 2021, Quynh Luu District Police successfully broke up the case and arrested the three suspects. The seized evidence included VND 78.6 million in cash, 8 mobile phones and other related evidence.

Through the investigation, the police initially proved that the amount of money the subjects gambled on April 5, 2021 was more than 3.9 billion VND.

Currently, the District Police have detained the above 3 suspects and continue to investigate and expand the case./.
