Nghe An supports Ho Chi Minh City residents with nearly 300 tons of food and necessities
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the Week "For the city named after Uncle Ho", on the morning of July 16, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee organized the reception and transfer of nearly 300 tons of necessities from people in 21 districts, cities, towns and officials and civil servants of agencies and units of Nghe An province to support the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
In order to accompany and share with the people of Ho Chi Minh City in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized the launch of the Peak Week "For the city named after Uncle Ho".
Accordingly, the Fatherland Front at all levels and its members call on cadres, union members and people from all walks of life to support, share and join hands with the Party Committee and people of Ho Chi Minh City in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Homegrown agricultural products from bags of rice, vegetables, tubers, fruits to jars of dried fish, jars of eggplants, jars of pickled bamboo shoots... made by the locals are all shared and donated by the people with the love and affection of the people of Uncle Ho's hometown for the people of the city named after Uncle Ho; contributing to repelling the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province Vo Thi Minh Sinh shared: "Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An are two localities with a special traditional relationship, not only in cooperation in socio-economic development but also in many activities demonstrating solidarity. In recent years, whenever the people of Nghe An province encountered difficulties, natural disasters, and epidemics, the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City have always promptly encouraged, shared, and provided great spiritual and material support to help the people of Nghe An province overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is a locality heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and must implement social isolation throughout the city in accordance with Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.
The implementation of social distancing has limited many production and business activities of people and at this time, more than ever, people and workers in Ho Chi Minh City are facing difficulties and need help and support, especially necessities for daily life.

After 5 days of launching, according to statistics of the Fatherland Front of Nghe An province, Nghe An people donated nearly 300 tons of food, foodstuffs, and necessities to support the people of Ho Chi Minh City; converted into nearly 6.9 billion VND.

The amount of food and necessities donated by Nghe An people was transported free of charge by container by waterway by Global Logistics Services Company Limited and Nghe An Logistic Service Center to support the people of Ho Chi Minh City./.
