Nghe An and An Giang signed 36 memorandums of understanding on economic cooperation

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 24, the Provincial People's Committee organized a "Conference to connect supply and demand of goods and products in Nghe An province, trade between Nghe An and An Giang enterprises".

Attending the conference were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Departments of Industry and Trade of Nghe An and An Giang, and many businesses from Nghe An and An Giang provinces.

The first trade exchange between Nghe An and An Giang enterprises was held in Vinh city, an event to find outlets for typical products of small and medium enterprises, cooperatives and households in the localities.

This is a good opportunity for businesses and production facilities to directly contact the distribution system, propose supply and consumption needs for goods with traditional and modern distribution systems; create connections between managers, manufacturers and distributors, thereby building appropriate strategies, thereby orienting production, forming a sustainable and effective supply chain.

The conference introduced key products of Nghe An and An Giang provinces; listened to the introduction about the potential, supply and distribution capacity of key products, and the potential of An Giang and Nghe An provinces.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Dai emphasized: In order for supply-demand connection activities to become regular activities, relevant levels, sectors, local authorities and enterprises continue to promote information exchange on state management in the fields of production - circulation - distribution.

The Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with relevant sectors and units to annually organize conferences connecting supply and demand of goods, creating conditions for distribution enterprises, enterprises, and production cooperatives to meet, seek cooperation opportunities, and promote the consumption of goods.

Many typical products of Nghe An were introduced at the conference.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with relevant units to review enterprises, units, and cooperatives producing potential agricultural products to support investment in improving product quality, building brands, improving product quality, food safety to meet commodity standards for modern distribution systems, aiming for export. Strengthen inspection and control to ensure that goods from agricultural production activities in the province, as well as imported from other places to supply the provincial market are strictly controlled, ensuring food safety.

At the Conference, at least 14 contracts were successfully signed and many information exchanges and other partner searches were conducted.

The products signed at this conference are quality products, traditional specialties of localities such as: agricultural products, food, processed seafood, household appliances, handicrafts... with potential strengths of Nghe An and An Giang provinces.

After this Conference, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade committed to organize at least one annual conference to connect supply and demand, not only with An Giang province but also with many other provinces, cities and regions in the country.
