Nghe An and Vietnam Television strengthen coordination for the 2020-2025 period

On the afternoon of November 27, leaders of Nghe An province worked with a working delegation of Vietnam Television (VTV) led by comrade Tran Binh Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television to evaluate the results of the implementation of the cooperation program between the two sides for the period 2014 - 2020 and deploy the cooperation program for the period 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for the Vietnam Television delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung informed about some outstanding results of the province in recent years; at the same time, he affirmed that in those successes, there is a very important contribution of information and communication work, in which the implementation of the coordination program between VTV and Nghe An province in the period of 2014 - 2020 has contributed to the propaganda of Nghe An province.

The leaders of Nghe An province acknowledged and sincerely thanked VTV for implementing the contents of the cooperation program, and hoped that Nghe An province would continue to receive active support from VTV in information and propaganda work to successfully carry out its tasks.

At the meeting, the two sides evaluated the results of the implementation of the work coordination program for the period 2014 - 2020. Accordingly, Nghe An province and VTV have had many coordinated activities to propagate the potential, advantages, and achievements of socio-economic development; direction and operation activities; ensuring national defense, security, and Party and government building of Nghe An province; promoting and introducing the history - culture, land and people of Nghe An on VTV channels;...

In particular, VTV has promptly disseminated information about Nghe An province such as: implementing Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020; Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; building new rural areas, attracting investment, floods and epidemics occurring in the province...

Many complicated activities and incidents that occurred in the province were accurately reported by VTV, guiding public opinion. VTV's content and propaganda activities about Nghe An province were of good quality and had a wide influence on a large audience at home and abroad.

Vietnam Television is interested in and creates favorable conditions to help Nghe An Radio and Television Station develop on par with regional stations in the spirit of Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo.

Based on the achieved results and requirements, tasks of each side, and development trends of media platforms in the coming time, Nghe An province and Vietnam Television identify key areas of coordination from now until 2025.

In particular, the two sides focused on promoting major events of the province; Party and government building work of Nghe An province; implementing the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress; building new rural areas; promoting history and culture. Activities to attract investment, develop tourism and services; ensure national defense and security in Nghe An province on VTV channels...

In particular, the development of current technology has gradually changed the way the public receives information when people own modern terminals that can quickly access information via the Internet. Therefore, in addition to traditional broadcasting methods, the two sides also agreed to cooperate to promote communication on digital platforms. VTV also continues to help Nghe An Radio and Television Station develop and keep up with development trends, focusing on strategic orientation, technology consulting, production processes, content distribution; professional training for staff, reporters, technicians;...

Speaking at the meeting, General Director of Vietnam Television Tran Binh Minh affirmed that Nghe An holds a very special position, and emphasized that he will continue to develop cooperative relations with the province in the coming time, especially in promoting Nghe An; as well as supporting, training, and fostering the province's press agencies in production thinking, knowledge of technology, and digital management.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy respectfully thanked VTV for its effective and useful coordination and cooperation with Nghe An province in recent times; thereby contributing to helping the province have more motivation and conditions to develop its socio-economy, ensure national defense and security, and strengthen foreign affairs.

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that VTV leaders and VTV units will continue to pay attention and help Nghe An province in the coming time to contribute to helping the province successfully implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

In particular, VTV continues to pay attention to propaganda and promotion of Nghe An province - the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh in all aspects; on all VTV channels, especially digital infrastructure with more broadcasting time; as well as having more programs and information broadcast in the station's prime time slots.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested VTV to pay attention to supporting and helping Nghe An Radio and Television Station in investing, improving the quality of its staff; innovating management processes and program production technology on digital platforms so that the Station can better perform the province's political tasks; and having a coordination mechanism with VTV departments and Nghe An Radio and Television Station in program production to ensure the best quality of products.

Nghe An province will also research to have a systematic communication strategy in areas such as: investment attraction, agricultural production, tourism, etc.; thereby hoping VTV will continue to share, accompany and support the province. In addition, VTV is requested to establish a permanent office in Nghe An.
