(Baonghean.vn) - The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghi Loc district has upgraded the epidemic level in Quan Hanh town and Nghi Hoa commune to level 4.

This afternoon (November 6), the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghi Loc district issued Notice No. 579/TB-UBND updating the epidemic level according to Resolution 128. Specifically, the epidemic level in Quan Hanh town and Nghi Hoa commune was raised to level 4; Nghi Trung commune to level 3, Nghi Yen to level 2 and the remaining 25 communes to level 1.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Nghi Hoa commune and Quan Hanh town is required to develop a plan to "Safely and flexibly adapt and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic at level 4; seriously implement epidemic prevention and control measures in the area; temporarily suspend religious activities, food and beverage services, cultural and sports activities, weddings; do not gather in large crowds (including funerals).

Previously, on the morning of November 6, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control had a working session in Nghi Loc.

According to a quick report from the Covid-19 Prevention Command Center of Nghi Loc district, as of 8:00 a.m. on November 6, in Kim Lien block, Quan Hanh town, Ngoc Duong and Thuong Tho hamlets, Nghi Hoa commune, there were 26 cases.positive for Covid-19. Of which 18 cases are in the blockade area.

Immediately after the Covid-19 case, Quan Hanh town and Nghi Hoa commune increased propaganda and epidemiological information, requiring people to practice 5K and stay in place. The district directed the organization of isolation of Kim Lien block, Quan Hanh town and Ngoc Duong hamlet, Nghi Hoa commune. Tracing cases, identifying 580 cases of F1 and taking samples for testing. During the night of November 5 and the morning of November 6, Nghi Loc District Medical Center conducted rapid tests for 3,500 people in Kim Lien block, Duc Thanh hamlet and Ngoc Duong hamlet.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh highly appreciated the timely participation of Nghi Loc district and the grassroots in the fight against the epidemic. In the context of a large number of F1 cases, the district needs to consider organizing medical isolation to ensure flexibility and effectiveness. It is recommended to widen the area to facilitate the assessment of the epidemic situation. However, it is necessary to clearly understand the characteristics of each residential area and each route to reasonably zone it. Disinfection needs to be focused and focused to be highly effective. Implementing the direction of comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the Secretary of the District Party Committee requested the Commander of the Nghi Loc District Covid-19 Prevention and Control Center to issue a decision to upgrade the epidemic level of Quan Hanh town to level 4; stop religious ceremonies, food services, and crowded sports activities in Quan Hanh town. Organize rapid testing of household representatives in the entire locality. The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Quan Hanh town needs to mobilize the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations to arrange support forces to ensure the lives of more than 2,000 people in the blockade area in Kim Lien block.
