Nghi Loc honors 60 good farmers and businessmen

(Baonghean.vn) – Currently, Nghi Loc district has 9,451 good production and business households at all levels (an increase of 57% compared to 2011), of which 236 households have an annual income of over 200 million VND.

Through the emulation movement of good production and business, thousands of farming households have been motivated to promote the application of technical advances and actively transform the structure of agricultural production towards industrialization and modernization.

In addition to capital from the Social Policy Bank, the District Farmers' Association also attracted 1.6 billion VND from the Central, Provincial and District Farmers' Support Funds to create conditions for farmers to build 4 models of breeding crossbred Sind cows in Nghi Kieu, Nghi Thach, Nghi Dien and Nghi Hung.

In addition, the Association also mobilized 8,000 households to donate 2,894,000 m2 of land and 346,000 working days to build new rural areas. With practical activities, it has attracted a large number of members to participate in the organization. Thanks to that, the Association has recruited more than 4,000 new members; bringing the total number of members in the district to 30,000 members to date.

In recent years, the hilly communes of Nghi Loc district have developed goat herds quite strongly. Currently, the whole district has nearly 10,000 goats.

At the conference summarizing the movement of good production and business in the period of 2012-2016 organized by Nghi Loc District People's Committee on November 25, 60 typical farmers with outstanding achievements in the movement of farmers competing in good production and business in the period of 2012-2016 were honored and awarded certificates of merit.
