Suspected Chief Prosecutor stabbed himself seriously

Initial investigation results and Mr. Chuan's report show that the Chief Justice of the People's Procuracy of Quoc Oai district, Hanoi, likely suffered self-harm.

Early in the afternoon of October 3, Mr. To Ngoc Chuan, Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Quoc Oai District, was found lying in his office with three wounds, including two on his chest and one on his neck. Mr. Chuan was immediately taken to the 103 Military Hospital (Ha Dong, Hanoi) for emergency treatment.

Upon receiving the report, the authorities promptly arrived at the scene, organized an investigation, collected information and clarified the incident.

At the scene, authorities recovered weapons believed to be related to Mr. Chuan's injuries, including a knife and scissors. Mr. Chuan's office has been sealed. The initial cause is believed to be a family dispute.

Thanks to being taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, Mr. Chuan has overcome the critical stage. Notably, his statement to the police that evening, combined with the results of the investigation and examination, showed that Mr. Chuan himself caused the injury. The cause of the incident is still under investigation./.
