In a speech by Foreign Minister Lavrov read by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov at an anti-terrorism conference in Moscow, it was stated that:
"The terrorist resistance in Syria has not weakened. Scattered terrorist groups continue to engage in fierce fighting. Notably, the rebels do not lack weapons and ammunition. Moreover, they use advanced weapons, such as drones. Obviously, this could not have happened without foreign sponsors."
"The anti-terrorist operation in Syria has exposed a lot of evidence that shell companies, through third countries, have supplied various types of weapons and equipment to terrorists," the Russian foreign minister's speech stated.
Russia's top diplomat also called on the international community to eliminate the so-called "gray zone" in the economy, which is used as a channel to supply weapons to rebels. Mr. Lavrov affirmed that the habit of dividing terrorists into "good" and "bad" camps must be ended./.
