The pagoda in Nam Dan organized the casting of a 1-ton great bell.
(Baonghean.vn) - After completion, the bell is 2.15m high and weighs 1 ton. This is a spiritual work of great significance to the temple, monks and local Buddhists.
On the morning of February 26, the Buddhist Sangha of Nam Dan district and Loi pagoda in Thuong Tan Loc commune solemnly held a Grand Ceremony to commemorate Buddha's renunciation, a Medicine Master association to pray for national peace and prosperity, and the casting of a great bell.
At the ceremony, the organizing committee announced the decision to establish the Loi Pagoda worship facility in Thuong Tan Loc commune under the authority ofBuddhist Sangha of Nam Dan district.

In a solemn atmosphere, the monks performed the ritual of praying and pouring bronze to cast the great bell.
According to the design, the great bell of Loi Pagoda weighs 1,000 kg, is 2.15 m high, and has a mouth diameter of 1.15 m, and was cast by a team of workers in Hue city. The cost of casting the bell was 500 million VND, donated by Buddhists and benefactors from near and far.

The large bell will be crafted in a traditional style with familiar motifs and patterns. It is expected that after 4 days, the great bell will be completed and hung on the stand. This is an important sacred object of Loi Pagoda during the process of restoration, construction and renovation.
