Quang Nam People's Committee has just coordinated with the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and a number of non-governmental organizations to inaugurate the Korean - Vietnamese community art exchange project in Tam Thanh commune (Tam Ky city).

The project was completed after more than 20 days of launching, carried out by dozens of Korean volunteers.

Modeled after famous mural villages in Korea, the project is expected to help people promote tourism development and raise awareness of environmental protection after completion... More than 100 houses in Trung Thanh village (Tam Thanh commune) were selected for painting.

Oh Ye Seul is a freelance artist in Korea, who has participated in mural village projects by painting murals or making videos. After hearing about the Korean-Vietnamese Community Art Project, she immediately registered for the opportunity to come to Vietnam.

"Before, I only knew about Vietnam through television, but when I came here, I was really attracted and impressed by both the landscape and the Vietnamese people. The people are very simple and friendly," the female artist shared.

Volunteers said that Trung Thanh was chosen as the mural village because of its high population density. The houses are close together, making it easy to create an impression and display vivid paintings. The paintings have a variety of themes, including natural landscapes, daily life, culture of coastal villagers and fun cartoon characters for children.
