Fruit seller in Nghe An returns wallet containing more than 43 million VND found
(Baonghean.vn) - After picking up a wallet containing more than 43 million VND and many important documents, Mr. Tuan Anh immediately brought it to the traffic police station to report and return it to the person who lost it.
At noon on April 26, in the presence of the Traffic Police at the Vinh City Police Headquarters, Mr. Phan Cong Thuong (32 years old, residing in Co Dam Commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province), was handed over all of his lost property a few hours earlier. The property included more than 43.5 million VND in cash and many important documents such as the Land Use Rights Certificate...
Mr. Thuong said that because he works in the real estate sector, he often carries a large amount of money with him. This morning, after going to work at the Vinh City People's Committee headquarters, he left his wallet and a bag of documents on the hood of his car. Without paying attention, Mr. Thuong and his friend then drove home to Ha Tinh. When he was almost home, he received a phone call from a traffic police officer of Vinh City Police asking him to return to hand over the lost property. Only then did Mr. Thuong realize that his wallet and bag of documents were gone.

The person who found the property was Nguyen Tuan Anh (28 years old, from Anh Son district). Talking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, Tuan Anh said that he works as a fruit seller in Quan Bau ward. At around 10am this morning, he delivered fruit to a customer in Ben Thuy ward. When passing the intersection of Le Mao and Tran Phu streets, Tuan Anh discovered a leather wallet and a bag of documents that someone had dropped, so he stopped to pick them up.
"At that time, I looked around and didn't see anyone who had just dropped it. I didn't open the wallet or the bag of documents to see, but seeing that the leather wallet was very tight, I could guess that it contained a lot of money. At that time, because I was in a hurry, I took it and went to ship the goods. After finishing the job, I stopped by the traffic police team on duty in front of Vinh University to hand it over to them to find the owner to return it," said Mr. Tuan Anh. He added that here, the traffic police force opened the bag of documents and discovered that Mr. Thuong's phone number was written on the documents, so they called the owner. After comparing the information, all the property was returned to the person who dropped it.
