(Baonghean.vn) - Her husband was arrested for drug possession, Pham Thi Van Anh did not work hard to raise her children but instead followed in her husband's footsteps, secretly buying and selling crystal meth. As a result, she was arrested by the authorities after two of her drug dealers were caught red-handed.

Recently, Thai Hoa Town Police have seen a number of people in the area showing signs of buying, selling, storing, and illegally using drugs.

Faced with the above situation, Thai Hoa Town Police held a meeting to deploy a plan to combat the above subjects. Accordingly, 2 working groups were assigned to focus on reviewing all subjects with criminal records related to the illegal purchase, storage, and use of drugs in the area; at the same time, ambush and monitor all movements of suspicious subjects at karaoke bars, motels, and hotels.

During the investigation, the detectives discovered a group of about 4-5 people, including a woman who showed signs of suspicion related to the sale of illegal goods. These people often appeared at drug “hot spots”, mainly at noon or early evening. Their methods were extremely sophisticated and secretive.

After a period of investigation and verification, the detectives identified the woman as Pham Thi Van Anh (born in 1990), residing in Hamlet 6, Nghi Tien Commune, Thai Hoa Town. Further investigation into this character revealed that she resides in Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City. After getting married and living in Hamlet 6, Nghia Tien Commune and having 2 children together, Anh's husband was arrested for illegal drug trafficking.

At that time, she was raising a child under 13 months old but was often absent from the locality. Immediately after that, Pham Thi Van Anh was put on the list of suspects specializing in supplying crystal meth to people in need in the town and neighboring districts.

On May 24, detectives received a report that two men were present near Pham Thi Van Anh’s home, showing signs of suspicion related to the sale of crystal meth. Immediately afterwards, the task force quickly arrived to verify and clarify the matter.

Accordingly, when the two strangers had just left the area of ​​Hamlet 6, they were caught red-handed by detectives for illegally possessing drugs. The seized evidence was 2.67 grams of crystal meth. At the investigation agency, the subjects declared their names as Le Van Dai and Nguyen Van Thiet, both residing in Thai Hoa Town. They bought the above crystal meth from Pham Thi Van Anh.

After collecting sufficient documents and evidence, on May 25, the Thai Hoa City Police Department issued an arrest warrant and conducted an emergency search of Pham Thi Van Anh for illegal drug trafficking. At the police station, Thi Anh confessed to selling the above amount of crystal meth to Thiet and Dai.

Expanding the investigation of the case, Thai Hoa Town Police found a group of young men aged 19-23, often going to karaoke bar 86 in Tan Tien block, Hoa Hieu ward, showing signs of organizing the use of crystal meth.

After 2 days of approaching, on the afternoon of May 31, the detectives discovered the group of young men carrying tools for using crystal meth into karaoke bar 86. Accordingly, the plan to catch the above subjects red-handed was quickly deployed.

Methamphetamine caught red-handed

At 2:45 p.m. the same day, detectives from the Criminal Police - Economic - Drug Police Team of Thai Hoa Town Police were present at room 205, karaoke bar 86, conducted a search and caught a group of young men using crystal meth, including: Tran Minh Cuong, Tran Minh Phong, both residing in Kim Tan block, Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa Town; Le Hong Thinh residing in Nghia Lam commune, Pham Anh Tinh and Vo Quoc Dung, both residing in Nghia Son commune, Nghia Dan district. The seized evidence included a set of tools used to use crystal meth, 5 mobile phones and some related evidence.

The Thai Hoa Town Police Department has initiated a case and prosecuted the above-mentioned defendants for the illegal purchase, storage, and use of narcotics. Pham Thi Van Anh, who is raising a young child, was released on bail. The case is currently under further investigation.
