Then the abuse of power and authority, violating principles, appointing children and relatives has made people lose trust.
The conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee on considering disciplinary action against the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in the period 2009-2015 and a number of related individuals, as well as the announcement of the conclusion on considering disciplinary action against two individuals who were former officials of Binh Dinh province by the Central Inspection Committee, has created trust among the people.
Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tan said: "I very much welcome the announcement of the conclusion of the Central Inspection Commission. This conclusion has proven that our Party and State do not just talk, but do things thoroughly. Any cadres and party members who lack qualifications, are irresponsible, abuse their positions and powers, causing serious consequences for the country and losing the trust of the people must be dealt with appropriately. The announcement of the conclusion of the Central Inspection Commission has made the people very excited and more confident in the leadership of the Party."
Mr. Ngo Duc Vien (Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) after knowing the conclusion announcement of the Central Inspection Committee expressed his opinion: "It must be said that this is a conclusion announcement of the Central Inspection Committee that makes people very excited. Excited and confident in the fact that our Party is determined to handle corruption cases, cadres and party members who go against the Party's principles and purposes of being for the people, caring for the people. The entire PVN in the period of 2009-2015, holding a large source of national oil and gas resources, has caused the country to lose thousands and billions of dong. While our country is still poor, our people in many places do not have enough to eat and wear, these cadres and party members did not think about the people, care for the people but instead advised wrongdoing, causing heavy losses and impoverishing the country".
As for the appointment of officials who violate the principles, from the incident at PVN and the two officials of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee who were proposed for disciplinary action, it is very appropriate. Through that, it will help officials in office and in power to reflect on themselves and avoid making mistakes in the process of working. Whatever you do, think of the people and the country.
** After listening to the announcement of the conclusion of the 14th session of the Central Inspection Commission on disciplinary action and the proposal to consider Party disciplinary action against a number of collectives and individuals, Mr. Nguyen Tam Quy - former Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee said that the fact that the Central Inspection Commission publicly announced such disciplinary action shows the Party's determination and strictness in handling organizations and individuals with violations.
Mr. Quy said: “Implementing the 4th Central Resolution, there have been a number of cases. Continuing today, the Central Inspection Committee will consider disciplining and concluding some comrades at PVN, and the personnel work in Binh Dinh province, I very much welcome it. This clearly shows the level of violations, and being open like that is very good. And that is to avoid gossip, to avoid opinions like this or that, it is troublesome and has an impact.”
** Associate Professor Dr. Ho Tan Sang - lecturer at the Academy of Politics Region 3 said that the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee will create unity within the Party and support from the masses. According to Mr. Sang, this action is in accordance with the spirit that the Central Committee has thoroughly grasped in the 4th Central Conference, Session XII.
This action has received consensus within the Party, all Party members at all levels as well as among the masses, creating a mark to affirm the Central Committee's determination in resolving internal Party issues, creating consensus within the Party and unified support from the masses.
**Ms. Bui Thi Hoa, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province expressed: "I strongly agree with the conclusion of today's meeting as well as the forms of discipline and warnings for groups and individuals. I think this is an appropriate form to contribute to pushing back corruption, making the country increasingly cleaner."
Mr. Nguyen Duc Huy (Yet Kieu Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh) shared that the Central Inspection Committee promptly made conclusions and pointed out the violations and shortcomings of a number of organizations and individuals at the 14th session. This demonstrates strictness, rigor, and zero tolerance for those who let violations occur.
** Mr. Le Duy Thanh - 51-year Party member (in Quarter 2, Trang Dai Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province) commented: "Discipline should be from the top down, not the style of "heavy on the bottom, light on the top".
** Mr. Nguyen Hoang Cuong (in Quarter 1, Tan Hiep Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province) said: “Through the conclusion of the Central Inspection Committee, we are very confident in the handling of Party members who commit violations, including high-ranking officials, with no forbidden areas and strict handling of violations. This is a valuable lesson for other officials, creating trust among the people in the leadership of the Party and the State”.
** Mr. Pham Duc Hau (retired cadre in Phuoc Long ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province) said that through this incident, the Party inspection work has no forbidden areas. In the coming time, it is necessary to continue to improve the inspection work, strengthen the supervision of power, and improve the leadership capacity of Party organizations in units and enterprises.
** Regarding the violations and shortcomings of collectives and party members just announced by the Central Inspection Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung (resident of Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province) expressed: “In my opinion, the work of the Central Inspection Committee has considered disciplining a number of provincial leaders as well as high-ranking leaders of the Central Committee who have seriously violated the Party's regulations and state laws, causing great loss of state assets and affecting the Party's reputation. As citizens, we see this work as well as the Party's decisions in considering disciplinary action against leaders who have committed extremely serious and timely violations. These are the actions of the Party and the State that bring people's trust in the current period.
** Mr. Nguyen Sy Hong (retired cadre in Ward 8, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) said: “I myself also find it very regrettable that there are cadres who grew up before liberation, after liberation, studied abroad and trained in the country, and had a long-term dedication but made very big mistakes. But on the other hand, we also support the Central Committee's decision, although this wound is very painful but necessary. First of all, it is a lesson for the next steps so as not to repeat the same mistakes. The shortcomings are common lessons for those individuals. And I think this is also a lesson for the Party on cadre management.
**Party member Tran Thi Hoa (Hong Ha Party Cell, Coc Leu Ward, Lao Cai City) said: “Among the Party members that the Central Inspection Committee has just proposed to consider disciplining, I see that there are Party members who are high-ranking officials, Party members who are no longer in office, and all of these Party members have committed serious violations, contrary to the Party's regulations. I support this action of the Central Inspection Committee. I hope that the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee of the Party will also carefully consider to come up with appropriate and strict disciplinary measures”./.
