Man struck by lightning on his way home from work
(Baonghean.vn) - On the way to help his wife pull rice from the field to get home from the rain, a man in Nghe An was struck and killed by lightning during a thunderstorm.
Information from the People's Committee of Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau District said: A thunderstorm with lightning occurred at 4:30 p.m. on May 11 in the commune, killing a man in a rice field.

The victim was Mr. Chu Van Lien (59 years old, resident of Hamlet 4, Dien Truong Commune) who was helping his wife pull rice home from the field by motorbike when suddenly a thunderstorm struck accompanied by lightning, killing him in the field.
It is known that Mr. Lien was a carpenter. When his wife was harvesting rice in the rain, he went out to help and met with an accident. This morning (May 12), relatives held a funeral for the unfortunate man.
