Man severely burned after being thrown a 'gasoline bomb'While visiting a friend's house in Phu Yen, the man was suddenly hit by a young man holding a plastic bottle filled with gasoline, lighting it on fire and throwing it at him.

On October 20, lying in a hospital bed with burns, Nguyen Phan Huy (39 years old) said that the night before, he went to a friend's house in Ward 2, Tuy Hoa City to play. Later, the friend went out.

Suddenly, a young man on a motorbike came to the door, holding a plastic bottle containing gasoline, covered it with cloth, lit it on fire and threw it at Mr. Huy, then sped away.

People around controlled the fire, but the victim suffered severe burns to his back, legs, arms and head and was taken to the emergency room.

Hours later, the young man suspected of throwing a "gasoline bomb" at Mr. Huy was taken in by the police to be questioned and investigated.
