Sharing after the coronation night of the highest position of the Miss Lotus Festival 2016 contest, Dinh Thi Kieu Anh said she felt surprised and happy with the result.

“I joined the contest with the desire to test myself and make new friends. I myself am not a perfect person, I still have many shortcomings, so through the contest, I want to learn more experiences and behavioral lessons to improve myself.”

The beauty queen shared that her family lives quite simply so they do not like their children to participate in superficial activities, especially beauty contests, because they are afraid that public feedback will distract them from their studies.

In real life, Dinh Thi Kieu Anh is a gentle, friendly, and smiling schoolgirl. However, behind that cheerful appearance is a sensitive soul. Unlike her peers, Kieu Anh currently lives with her grandmother and aunt in Thai Hoa Town due to her parents having to live and work in Hanoi frequently.

Kieu Anh’s childhood was filled with memories in the capital. When she was 12 years old, her parents decided to send her to Thai Hoa Town to study because they believed that the peaceful environment in the countryside would be better for her development. Living far away from her parents, although she still received care and attention from relatives, Kieu Anh confided, “I still feel sad and miss them. Sometimes on the street, I see friends going out with their families. At night, I feel sad…”

In real life, Kieu Anh is a gentle, playful schoolgirl, loved by teachers and friends.

“I have been learning tekwondo for about a year. Many people say that girls who learn martial arts are afraid that they will become stiff and rough, but I think martial arts helps me to be more confident, improve my health and live a more courageous life. On the other hand, martial arts also helps me get closer to my dream of becoming a policewoman in the future,” Kieu Anh shared.
