For large corporate customers with many subscribers, Viettel also sends people to their locations. The network said it is contacting businesses to create conditions for employees to access standardized subscriber information right at their workplaces.

In the information just released, Viettel also clearly instructed that subscribers need to fully update both sides of their ID card or citizen identification card. Cases where one side of the photo is missing will be rejected by the system.

"The subscriber's portrait photo must be clear, frontal, not tilted, with the correct personal signature, and avoid updating irrelevant information and images," said a network representative.

Besides,Vinaphone customers can also take portrait photos, ID cards and other information and send them toe-mailor via My VinaPhone mobile app.

Similarly, the customers ofMobiFoneYou can also go to the carrier's official store or telecommunications service points authorized by this unit (about 14,500 points) to update information.

In addition to this method, subscribers of the network can also access MobiFone's website to declare. Like Viettel, MobiFone also supports updating information at home for elderly customers, people with disabilities... if requested.

A source said that on April 10, network operators will meet with the Ministry of Information and Communications to report on the contents and progress of implementing Decree 49.According to network operators, the number of subscribers is too large so the progress depends on customer consensus because not everyone cooperates.

"After this meeting, if we have difficulty updating information due to the deadline, we will propose to postpone it for a few more days," said a representative of a network operator.

In response to concerns that personal information (including portrait photos) could be exploited when provided to network operators, representatives of telecommunications companies affirmed that this situation would not happen.

"Customer photos and personal information are stored on MobiFone's centralized database and are only used for managing subscriber information in accordance with the law. MobiFone ensures the confidentiality of customer information in accordance with the Telecommunications Law and current regulations," the network representative emphasized.

Meanwhile, Viettel leaders also said that ensuring the safety and confidentiality of subscriber information is the responsibility of the enterprise, as stipulated in the Law on Network Information Security and in Decree No. 174/2013 of the Government. Therefore, the network operator is always aware of this responsibility and implements measures to ensure it in the operating regulations and subscriber information management process.
