Nghe An Publishing House, honored with 'golden books'
(Baonghean) - Over 37 years of construction and development, Nghe An Publishing House has made an important contribution to improving people's knowledge, developing the economy and society, and promoting the cultural identity of Nghe An. During that process, many books have been awarded "gold awards", affirming the brand of Nghe An Publishing House.

Through the stages of development, Nghe An Publishing House (NXB) has always improved the quality of its products and achieved many prestigious awards, such as: Ho Chi Minh Award and Vietnam Book Award; "Phan Boi Chau in Japan (1905-1909)" by author Chu Van Thong - Bronze Prize for Good Book at the Vietnam Book Award 2014. The Vietnam Book Award is organized annually by the Vietnam Publishing Association to honor valuable books by publishers nationwide.
The book “Phan Boi Chau in Japan (1905-1909)” is quite massive, 604 pages thick, 16x24cm in size, compiled very elaborately, in which the author has deeply analyzed and affirmed the great contributions of Phan Boi Chau to the cause of national salvation and liberation, and to the relationship with Japan... In addition to the above award, in 2017, the book “Phan Boi Chau in Japan (1905-1909)” was also honored to receive the First Prize for Nghe An Science and Technology Innovation.
In addition, the book “Old Vinh” collected and verified by Pham Xuan Can won the Silver Prize for Beautiful Book and the Bronze Prize for Good Book at the 2016 Vietnam Book Awards. The book gathers valuable photos of Vinh in the early 20th century taken by foreign and Vietnamese photographers. To publish this book, it was a painstaking process of a person who loves Vinh very much and worries about Vinh. Not only is the content unique, the book is also highly appreciated for its aesthetics and printing quality.

The book “Nghe An Land” - Many authors (collected and selected by Nghe An Culture Magazine) also won the Encouragement Prize for Good Books at the Vietnam Book Awards 2016. The book is a collection of valuable articles that have been published in Culture Magazine over the years. Each article has a separate perspective on Nghe An land but is strung together to create a harmonious, unified whole; each unique feature of the region, area, converging into the uniqueness of the “geomancy of talented people” region.
On May 20, 2017, at the Hanoi Opera House, President Tran Dai Quang presented the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts to 113 authors, including the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao for the 9-volume book series “Ve Xu Nghe” published by Nghe An Publishing House. The late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao has more than 50 published works, mainly books on Nghe folk culture and he was awarded the title “Number One Nghe Scholar” by Nghe people. The Ho Chi Minh Prize for the series “Ve Xu Nghe” is not only an honor for Nghe An Publishing House but also a common honor for the people of Nghe An.
