Multiply the warm winters
(Baonghean) - In recent years, many people in remote areas in Western Nghe An have had warmer winters thanks to "volunteer love" programs organized by students from universities in the province.
On December 31, 2016, the poor people in Nat village, Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district experienced a warm last day of the year with gifts and sincere feelings from students of the Du Ca Club of the Faculty of Law, Vinh University.
The students gave 500 notebooks, 300 sets of clothes, 20 gifts and 5 sets of books to families in difficult circumstances and to poor students who have overcome difficulties in Nat village. Besides giving gifts, the members also brought other spiritual food to the people. As a music club, the Du ca Faculty of Law of Vinh University has organized many charity programs to help people in the highlands.
Student Nguyen The Hung - Head of the Du Ca Club of the Faculty of Law shared: "Witnessing the hard and difficult life of the people of Nat village when they have to go through the cold winter. The elderly and children here mostly do not have enough food and clothes, the members of the Club decided to take action to help the people here."
The program not only promotes the spirit of volunteering for the community of students, but also strengthens the work of gathering, solidarity and creating an environment for students in the Club to experience, approach reality, build personality and courage. From there, they contribute their youth and become more mature.

Not only the Law Faculty's Du Ca Club, many other clubs and students are still quietly carrying out charity activities day and night, especially in the winter to bring warmth to people in remote areas. One of them is the Vinh Medical Youth Club which is raising funds to carry out the program "Warm Spring 2017" for the people of Nghe Tinh affected by the recent floods, the White Blouse Volunteer Youth Club of Vinh Medical University is helping Nam Nhoong commune, Que Phong...
To raise funds for the program, in addition to calling for support from donors, students also collect scrap metal or sell homemade products or sell gai cakes, spring rolls, etc. Taking advantage of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, members of many clubs organize sidewalk sales or go to dormitories and school festivals to sell goods.
In addition, young people also actively introduce the club's business on social networking sites like Facebook, groups, and associations... Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh - Head of the Vinh Medical Youth Club said that, for example, in order to have cheap and quality goods, members have traveled all the way to the Coconut land, Tuong Son commune (Anh Son) to get the goods.
Knowing the purpose of the club, many shop owners also sell at more preferential prices. However, fundraising for charity is not easy when members are sometimes chased away because they are suspected of fraud, and people do not support them... Not to mention the days when they cannot sell their products, the cakes are spoiled and have to be thrown away. At times like that, the students encourage each other to continue the work of the club.

It is not difficult to see that recently, the closer to Tet, the more charity programs are organized by students. This is a positive signal that proves that the new generation of students is increasingly active, not only thinking about themselves but also caring about the community and society.
In order for student programs to develop more strongly and effectively, they certainly need the attention, coordination, and timely guidance of relevant organizations such as the Youth Union or local authorities.
