Staff of Provincial General Hospital infected with Covid-19, Ha Tinh City social distancing from noon on June 8

On the morning of June 8, after a Covid-19 case was detected in a person working at the provincial General Hospital, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Ha Tinh province held an urgent meeting to deploy urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Ha Tinh province then decided to socially distance Ha Tinh city according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister starting from 12 noon today (June 8).

15 communes and wards with more than 25,500 households and over 103,500 people in Ha Tinh City are subject to Directive 16. All people are required to stay at home and only go out in cases of real necessity such as: buying food, groceries, medicine, emergency or working at companies, factories, production facilities; keep a minimum distance of 2m when communicating, do not gather more than 2 people outside the scope of offices, schools, hospitals and public places...

The latest suspected case of Covid-19 in Ha Tinh is a 57-year-old man working at the Provincial General Hospital. This case was discovered when the hospital organized testing for all staff. After the positive result, early this morning, the authorities stretched out ropes to control entry and exit at the main gate of the hospital. Inside this medical facility, there are 185 staff working since the night of June 7, along with 483 inpatients and 372 relatives.

In the F1 list of this patient, there are at least 4 people from Nghe An. Among them, 3 are from Thanh Luong commune (Thanh Chuong), including the patient's uncle, aunt and a man from Le Loi ward, Vinh city. Currently, these people are being urgently taken to centralized quarantine by the health agency in Nghe An, and their samples are being taken for testing./.
