Japan buys rice from Nghe An to make Sake
(Baonghean.vn)-According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hue Food One Member Co., Ltd. (Huefooods), 100% Japanese capital, is negotiating with rice production companies in Nghe An to buy rice to produce Sake at the Company's factory in Hue..
The rice that this company is choosing is NA6 rice from Nghe An Agricultural Materials Company in Nghi Loc, Dien Chau. Currently, the investor has taken rice and soil samples for analysis. It is known that Hue foods is importing rice materials from the South to Hue to produce wine. The investor is also researching AC 5 rice from Vinh Hoa Company Limited to make Shochu wine.

According to Mr. Truong Van Hien - Director of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Company, this September the parties will meet and agree on the price and related requirements, then there will be official results. If the Japanese side agrees, the rice production process will have to be adjusted to meet the quality required by the partner. Sake is usually produced from autumn rice.

Hue Food One Member Co., Ltd., with 100% Japanese capital investment, has been granted investment license No. 311043000021 by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Construction began in 1997 and production has been in progress since 1998.
