Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh in block 4, Tan Lac town, was cleaning her house and sighed: The flood came on September 27, causing the walls of the rented rooms to collapse, the tiled roofs to be blown off, and the flood swept away many of the furniture and belongings of the family and students staying there.
On the morning of September 28, after the water receded, the family and the forces of Tan Lac town came to help clean up the house. Because the rented room was severely damaged, the students were given temporary accommodation by other families or returned home.

Ms. Le Thi Thao, also in Tan Lac town, confided: The river water rose quickly and flooded into the house, sweeping away motorbikes, bicycles, and items such as rice cookers, fans... people were unable to react in time. Electronic devices have been soaked in muddy water for more than a day, and are determined to be beyond repair. Some food and provisions are waiting for the sun to dry, hoping to salvage a little...
Mr. Vo Thai Tinh - Chairman of Tan Lac Town People's Committee said: The recent flood caused over 220 households to be flooded, many houses were damaged, 9 cows and 110 pigs were swept away, water overflowed 2.5 hectares of fish ponds, 5 cars were submerged. Not to mention the flood also damaged nearly 100 hectares of crops and rice... This is the biggest flood in the area in the past 20 years.

This morning (September 28), Tan Lac town deployed forces including police, militia, medical staff, and departments, branches, and organizations to coordinate to help people recover from the flood.
Not only Tan Lac town, many other localities in Quy Chau district such as Chau Hanh, Chau Binh, Chau Hoi... were also devastated by floods. In Chau Hanh commune, after the water receded, 100% of the commune's forces were mobilized to hamlets and villages to support people in overcoming the consequences.

At Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune, we can still see the traces of the flood, some roads have been eroded, many houses have collapsed walls, fences have collapsed, and floodwaters have damaged many of the people's belongings. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong in Hanh Tien village shared: "The floodwaters rose so quickly that we couldn't react in time, all the groceries including candy, fish sauce, soap and other necessities were submerged and could not be sold anymore". Not far away, the whole village is working together to rebuild a house for a household that was completely damaged after the flood.
According to the report of Chau Hanh People's Committee, the whole commune had nearly 200 flooded houses, traffic roads in Minh Tien village were cut off by about 20 meters, there were 12 landslides, Na Xen dam was severely damaged, floods swept away over 6,700 poultry, 64 pigs... On the morning of September 28, the commune mobilized over 200 people to help people overcome and repair damaged houses, and temporarily build landslide-affected roads...

Through the discussion, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Chairman of Quy Chau District People's Committee said: Right this morning, when the water receded, the district directed the People's Committees of Tan Lac communes and towns to mobilize forces and urgently implement post-flood recovery. With the spirit of mutual love and support, joining hands to help each other overcome the situation, such as sectors helping sectors, communes helping communes, villages helping villages, with the highest determination to stabilize people's lives as soon as possible.

"Localities are required to handle environmental sanitation as the water recedes, promptly rescue, provide relief, and provide clean water and food for people in affected areas. Localities must urgently compile statistics on damage in residential areas, damage to public infrastructure, and the fields of agriculture and livestock to promptly report to competent authorities to come up with solutions," Mr. Hoai emphasized.

According to statistics from Quy Chau district, in the past 2 days of heavy rain and floods, the district had 1,108 households flooded, of which, in Tan Lac town, 4 blocks were flooded, with about 200 households. Chau Hanh commune had 5 villages flooded, with about 146 households, Chau Tien commune had 4 villages flooded, with about 566 households, Chau Binh commune had 5 villages flooded, with about 50 households... thousands of livestock and poultry were swept away, some of which were supported by rescue forces to be brought to safety.
In addition, there were many landslides on traffic routes such as National Highway 48A, National Highway 48B, National Highway 48D, many spillways were damaged. Regarding agricultural production, the total flooded area of rice was 442 hectares, sugarcane 91.3 hectares, cassava 4.1 hectares, the estimated damage was hundreds of billions of VND.
