Many charity activities to support the poor in Nghe An

*Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial Business Blocpresented 40 gifts (each worth 500 thousand VND) to poor households in Huong Son commune, Tan Ky district and presented 20 school bags and 20 blankets to 20 students of Huong Son Primary and Secondary School; with a total amount of nearly 30 million VND.

* Also in Tan Ky district,Party Committee of Provincial AgenciesIn coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Charity Association, the North Central Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, and the Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technical College, 98 Tet gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) were presented to poor households, lonely elderly people, and policy families in Tan Huong commune.

At the program, the Provincial Party Committee also supported the Primary School with 20 tons of cement (worth 30 million VND) to build facilities for teaching and learning; supported Hamlet 1, Tan Huong Commune (the hamlet has just been recognized as a New Rural Hamlet) with 5 million VND.

In addition, the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College donated 50 million VND to support Tan Huong commune to build some works of the commune and 85 gifts of warm blankets for children of Tan Huong commune Primary School.

* Dien Chau Fatherland Front CommitteeHanding over solidarity houses to poor households, including: Mr. Chu Minh Hoa's family, Dau Vinh hamlet, Dien Phong commune; Ms. Vuong Thi Trang's family, hamlet 5, Dien Xuan and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong's family, Nam Lien hamlet, Dien Kim commune.

The families are all in extremely difficult circumstances, their old houses are severely damaged. Each family is supported with 20 million VND and the communes will work together to build new houses for the families.

* Hung Nguyen District Youth UnionIn coordination with Nam Can Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard presented 245 gifts to the poor in Nam Can commune (each gift included necessities such as fish sauce, cooking oil, MSG, etc.), with a total cash value of 120 million VND.

The above amount of money was voluntarily contributed by members and youth of Hung Nguyen District Youth Union and supported by benefactors to the people, on the occasion of preparing to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Pig.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also organized medical examinations, provided free medicine and cooked year-end meals for students of schools in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.

*At Thanh Chuong, Ban Ve Hydropower Joint Stock Company organized the program "Tet for the poor" in Ngoc Lam commune.

Here, the delegation presented 150 gifts to poor and especially disadvantaged households in the area, each gift worth 500,000 VND; the total value of the gifts was 75 million VND.

The above funding is taken from the contributions of the company's staff and workers, to share difficulties and encourage poor households to have a warm and happy Tet.
