Group of young men bought Fortuner cars to steal dogs
During three years, a group of young men in Ha Tinh used Fortuner cars to organize dozens of dog thefts, selling them for money to spend.
On November 3, Cam Xuyen District Police (Ha Tinh) announced that they had just issued a decision to prosecute Nguyen Van Ca (26 years old, residing in Cam My commune), Dang Xuan Trung (29 years old, residing in Cam Xuyen town), Phan Van Tam (34 years old, residing in Cam My commune) and Duong Van Hue (residing in Cam Quan commune) for the crimes of Theft of property and Consumption of property obtained by others through crime.

According to the investigation documents, at around 1am on September 9, the police discovered Trung, Ca and Tam stealing dogs and bringing them to Mr. Hue’s house in Cam Quang commune for sale. Seeing the police raid, these people locked the door and climbed onto the roofs of other households to escape.
At the scene, police seized a Fortuner car, three swords, two stun guns and 20 dogs that had just been stolen. The refrigerator also contained dozens of kilos of processed dog meat.

According to authorities, the car belonged to one of the three thieves. They drove the car to a selling location in Cam Quan commune, then borrowed a motorbike to steal the dog. After more than a month on the run, the trio returned to turn themselves in.
The suspects confessed that over the past three years they had committed dozens of dog thefts, selling them for personal use.
