| Quynh Van commune has been forming the profession of casting shells and dashboards since 1997. In previous years, production was mainly small-scale and manual. From 2007 to now, people have introduced machines into large-scale production. In 2009, Quynh Van issued a document instructing production households to comply with regulations on safe production and environmental protection. On November 10, 2016, Quynh Van commune was assessed by the Provincial People's Committee as a craft village according to Decision 80 of the Provincial People's Committee. The assessment results all met the requirements of craft village criteria. |

| The whole commune currently has nearly 270 unburnt brick production machines, creating jobs for thousands of workers in the commune and over 200 workers in the communes of Quynh Xuan, Quynh Thach and Quynh Tan. |

| Households producing unburnt bricks invest from 50 to 70 million VND to buy a set of machines. Many families invest in 4 - 5 machines. |

| Putting machines into production reduces labor and increases volume many times over the previous manual method. |

| Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha in Thuong Dan village is rearranging the molds to prepare for tomorrow's batch of unburnt bricks. Ms. Ha said: Workers here work 8 hours a day, with a fairly stable income of 4 million to 4.5 million VND/month. |

| In addition to using supporting machinery, the brick-making village in Quynh Van also focuses on ensuring labor safety and environmental hygiene. Therefore, up to now, there have been no incidents in production. |

| The main markets for brick products are Nghe An and Ha Tinh. Customers are quite satisfied and trust Quynh Van unburnt bricks because of the reasonable price (700 VND/brick) and guaranteed quality. It is known that in the near future, Quynh Van Commune People's Committee will focus on building an unburnt brick craft village far from residential areas with an area of 10 hectares. |
