Ms. Tran Thi Minh in Thanh Long commune said: Her family has over 2.5 sao of alluvial land. After more than 2 months of growing biomass corn, they harvested over 5 tons, sold it for 1 million VND/ton in the field, earning 5 million VND. Growing biomass corn can produce 2 crops a year, giving higher economic efficiency than growing corn for grain.

Mr. Dang Van Tuan - Chairman of Thanh Long Commune People's Committee said: The commune currently has over 100 hectares of production.corn biomass, 2 crops a year, each hectare gives an income of over 100 million VND. The benefit of selling biomass corn is the fast harvest time, most businesses come to the fields to harvest for farmers.

The commune has introduced new corn varieties such as NK 66, and guided farmers in investing in proper care according to the process to achieve economic efficiency. Thanks to biomass corn cultivation, it has contributed to increasing people's income.

Next to it is the Lam River alluvial plain of Vo Liet commune, where machines are also urgently harvesting corn for the people. As soon as the harvest is over, the people immediately start preparing the land to sow corn.

Mr. Tran Phi Hung - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thanh Chuong district said: The total area of ​​alluvial land along Lam river in Thanh Chuong district is over 3,500 hectares, of which over 200 hectares were planted with biomass corn in the last winter-spring crop. This year, the weather was favorable, farmers invested in intensive farming, so corn yielded high yields, and the price of biomass corn was higher than last year.
