What is even more special is that the owner of this garden is a construction engineer who graduated from a famous university in Hanoi. He is Nguyen Trong Phuc, born in 1987 in hamlet 22, Dien Phu commune (Dien Chau). With a nimble figure, bright face, and smart eyes, he enthusiastically introduced to us his red-fleshed dragon fruit growing model. Up to now, there have been 2 seasons of dragon fruit blooming in Dien Phu. Originally a construction engineer, when he decided to leave his profession to start a new field, it was not easy. The days of diligently searching for seeds from Binh Thuan and then learning the techniques from planting poles to fertilizing. He still clearly remembers the feeling of eagerly waiting for each flower to bloom in the first crop. Thanks to the soil compound and proper care, the first crop yielded a lot of fruit. Because of the good quality, traders placed many orders at a price of 30,000 VND/kg.

With a good bachelor's degree, Mr. Nguyen The Van in Dien Lam commune also had some job opportunities at a business in Hanoi, but he decided to return home to develop a service business. Grasping the need for large-scale livestock development, he invested in opening an agency distributing animal feed, veterinary medicine and supplying breeding animals. Now his market has expanded throughout the districts of northern Nghe An, supplying over 1,200 tons of feed and thousands of breeding animals of all kinds per year, bringing in a net profit of 400 million VND.
In addition to taking advantage of land resources, many graduates in Dien Chau have boldly invested in developing business and services. In Dien Hong commune, there are many successful models. Mr. Nguyen Hong Thong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Dien Hong commune said: "The commune currently has more than 300 bachelors and engineers from universities and colleges residing. More than 50% of them have boldly sought their own economic development path. The forms of economic development focus on the fields of commercial services and business. Most of these models have an average income of approximately 100 million VND/year. In particular, many models have reached over 300 million VND/year.
Secretary of the Commune Youth Union Nguyen Hong Thong led us to visit the event organization model of Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai and his wife. The husband is an architect who graduated from the University of Architecture, the wife is a bachelor of Accounting from the National Economics University. Both of them already had quite stable jobs in Hanoi, but still decided to return to their hometown to start a business. Thanks to the time working part-time at a hotel specializing in organizing events since they were students, the couple had experience in this field. They boldly borrowed nearly 300 million VND to invest and purchase equipment. In just 2 years, the couple organized hundreds of large and small events in Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu, Nghia Dan districts... The value of assets and equipment that Mr. Hai and his wife own has reached nearly 2.5 billion VND. The couple also created jobs for more than 10 people in the area.

Every year, Dien Chau district has more than 1,000 bachelors and engineers graduating, many of whom cannot find jobs and have a very difficult life. Therefore, many young people have boldly invested in developing economic models. Up to now, Dien Chau has had more than 300 models of bachelors who have stayed in their hometown after graduation, earning hundreds of millions of VND/year. In addition, they contribute to vocational training and job creation for more than 500 young workers each year. Establishing a career is one of the practical movements that Dien Chau youth are enthusiastically implementing with many new business models, bringing high economic efficiency".
Currently in Dien Chau, there are 7 economic directions of union members and young people including: Developing gardens, ponds and barns in Dien Yen, Dien Tho, Dien Doai; services in Dien Ky, Dien Hong; carpentry in Dien Xuan, aquaculture and seafood farming in Dien Van, Dien Trung, Dien Bich; forestry development in Dien Lam; seafood processing in Dien Ngoc, Dien Kim and Dien Phu with models applying new science and technology to livestock and crop farming. These models have contributed to stabilizing life, helping many young people get rich on their homeland.
