The Association of War Veterans in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town has 18 members. Over the years, the Association of War Veterans here has done a good job of ideological work, propagating to the people of Xuan An Parish to unite, believe in the leadership of the Party, not listen to the instigation of reactionary forces, always be aware of "living a good life, living a good religion", promoting the patriotic emulation movement, expanding charity with the thought of "respecting God and loving the country".

At the same time, the war veterans and local people have carried out well the campaigns "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "All people unite to build new rural areas, build civilized urban areas"...

The war veterans in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward actively exchange and help each other develop the economy, support local people to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and become quite rich. Most notably, many war veterans strive to become rich households with intensive shrimp farming. Mr. Nguyen Van Dai - Head of the War Veterans Association of Block 7 is also one of the successful people with the shrimp farming model. In addition, the War Veterans Association of Block 7 also established a Veterans Club with 18 members, actively developing the economy, supporting the government in maintaining security and order in the area.

For example, Mr. Tran Van Quyen - Vice Chairman of the Veterans Club of Block 7 is one of the rich households from shrimp farming, participating in the management and operation of a garment company in the town. He himself is also a typical example of Hoang Mai town in social security activities, actively contributing to building solidarity in the area...

The war veterans in block 7 also mobilized people to donate land and fences for urban beautification; carried out well the work of clearing traffic corridors; contributed to the construction of the Block 7 Cultural House with a volleyball court. The War Veterans Association of Block 7 has been recognized for many years as a typical clean and strong organization.

Still atQuynh Vinh commune(Hoang Mai town), the Veterans Association of Village 9 stands out with its implementation of a model of contributing to the construction of new rural areas and eliminating dilapidated and makeshift houses for poor households: In the 5 years from 2016 to 2021, the Veterans Association of Village 9 developed a fund for members to borrow when in difficulty and coordinated with the village's political and social organizations to mobilize people to build 1.6 km of concrete roads, with a total value of more than 1.2 billion VND; built lighting lines throughout the village, 100% of village roads and alleys have light bulbs, with a total cost of 110 million VND.

The war veterans here also contributed 200 working days, materials, and cash to support Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a poor single-parent household in the village, to build a solid house with a total cost of over 26 million VND... The actions of the war veterans in village 9, Quynh Vinh commune contributed to spreading love, building a bloc of national solidarity to overcome difficulties for sustainable development.

With CCB Le Xuan Lam - Head of the CCB Association of Village 3B, Quynh Loc Commune (Hoang Mai Town), a Catholic, taking on the role of Chairman of the Pastoral Council of Di Le Parish, he has performed well all assigned tasks. In recent years, he and 7 CCB in the association have coordinated with organizations and unions to mobilize Catholics and non-Catholics to join hands in building new rural areas and promoting household economic development.

During that process, Mr. Lam's family voluntarily donated 121 m²land to expand the village roads. Following his example, many other households in the village also voluntarily moved their fences and donated land to expand the beautiful, straight rural roads. At the same time, with the cement source supported by the State, Mr. Lam and other organizations actively mobilized local people to contribute to pouring concrete for more than 1.2 km of village roads...

Create great influence

Returning to civilian life after military service, war veterans in all localities have played an active role in all activities and movements, contributing to building national solidarity, building a clean and strong Party and government organization, and building a comprehensively strong Association organization.

In particular, implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", war veterans at all levels actively practice morality and lifestyle, upholding the sense of responsibility of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in all tasks and movements in the locality. According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Minh - Chairman of the Hoang Mai Town Veterans Association, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle has become a daily routine for each war veteran.

Through each specific action in daily life, each war veteran always "raises the spirit of responsibility, exemplary style, and goes hand in hand with action". That is a model in economic development,role model in lifeEach war veteran regularly mobilizes his family and people to properly implement the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State, and local regulations; together with organizations and unions, build the "Great National Unity" bloc; build a strong political system.

InHoang Mai town, 4,712 War Veterans Association members operating in 103 War Veterans Association branches belonging to 14 grassroots associations are always imbued with Uncle Ho's morality and style, and each association branch takes the results of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as the criteria for evaluating and classifying the grassroots association, branches and cadres and members in 6 months and the whole year.

To continue to multiply the results in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the Veterans Association at all levels in localities regularly inspect, urge, correct, summarize and draw lessons, replicate typical advanced models, collectives and individuals, good practices and good deeds in the community. Each Veterans Association organization is always aware of promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldier" in daily life, closely coordinating with organizations and unions to create a great influence in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

In particular, the Veterans Association coordinates with the Youth Union at all levels to organize exchange and dialogue activities, extracurricular activities, and launch patriotic emulation movements among union members, youth and students, along with educating the younger generation on ideals, ethics, lifestyle and revolutionary traditions.

From there, continue to propagate Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, practically contributing to improving the quality of moral education, shaping the personality of students, union members and youth, enlightening revolutionary morality for the young generation to strive to establish a career and contribute to the homeland and country.
