Building and developing grassroots libraries is also an important task, contributing to promoting lifelong learning of the people, improving people's knowledge. Currently, the Nghe An Provincial Library system has developed widely with 1 provincial library, 19 district-level libraries, more than 350 commune, ward and town libraries... and thousands of school libraries, family and clan libraries... Along with that are hundreds of law bookcases, Border Guard Station bookcases and reading rooms. Thereby, it has played a positive role in serving the reading needs of the people, especially in remote, border and island areas and contributed to preserving and developing the reading culture in the community.
