Ceremony to hang the library sign and give gifts to students in difficult circumstances in Tuong Duong
On the morning of April 17, at Mai Son Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Mai Son Commune, Tuong Duong District), the Vietnam Children's Fund in collaboration with the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund, the Tuong Duong District Health Department and the school organized a ceremony to attach a sign to the library and give gifts to students in difficult circumstances.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam Children's Fund, the sponsor - Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB), and representatives of agencies: Nghe An Provincial Children's Fund, Tuong Duong District People's Committee, Department of Education and Training, District Health Department, Mai Son Commune People's Committee, schools in the area and all staff, teachers and students of the school.

The library project started in October 2024, sponsored by SHB Bank through the Vietnam Children's Fund, with a total cost of 365 million VND. The project aims to upgrade facilities, effectively serve teaching and learning; at the same time, create a modern and friendly reading space, helping students practice reading skills, develop thinking and access knowledge, thereby improving the quality of education.

At the ceremony, many meaningful gifts were given to students in difficult circumstances: Vietnam Children's Fund donated 1 water purifier and 10 sets of e-books, total value of 25 million VND; ZhiShan Foundation supported many new books, worth 10 million VND; a benefactor (Thua Thien Hue) sent 30 gifts, worth 15 million VND.

Speaking at the program, the school representative expressed his emotion and sent his deep thanks to the sponsors who accompanied and shared the difficulties with the students in the mountainous areas. The representative of SHB Bank also expressed his hope that the library will become a spiritual support, a space to inspire learning and nurture the dreams of the students.

Immediately after the plaque-mounting ceremony, delegates visited the library - which is expected to become a center for learning, creativity and promoting reading culture in schools.
The library project and meaningful gifts not only have material value, but are also a great source of encouragement, adding confidence and motivation for highland students to firmly step on the path of learning and growing up./.
