Don't buy made-in-China foods
(Baonghean.vn) - Food scandals in the country of one billion people, China, have heated up the media and public opinion for many years. From milk containing melamine to honey that is harmful to health, China has long allowed toxic food products to cross its borders.
In the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is only able to inspect 2.3% of food imported from China, and consumers must protect their health by choosing wisely what to buy for their daily diet.
Below are 10 Chinese foods that are labeled as requiring careful consideration before purchasing, as they may potentially contain plastic, pesticides, and cancer-causing chemicals.
1. Tilapia

Tilapia is a bottom-feeding fish that eats almost anything. When the water environment in China is polluted, eating any food grown in that environment is enough to affect health, not to mention that few people know what people feed this fish. Therefore, recently there has been a study that confirmed that tilapia is more harmful than bacon.
2. Cod

China routinely uses harmful pesticides on food, even pesticides banned by its government. 50% of apple juice sold in the US comes from China, and Americans are advised to make their own apple juice at home from local produce.
4. Processed mushrooms

34% of processed mushrooms come from China. No one knows what kind of equipment the Chinese use to grow mushrooms, or whether they are safe and healthy. So buy mushrooms from trusted sources, like local farms.

There are reports that fake Chinese rice is now being sold everywhere. When cooked, this rice is still very hard, and is likely made from potatoes and tree sap.
8. Mud…waste

Industrial salt products are finding their way to Chinese tables. Therefore, salt exported from this country to other markets may also contain industrial salt, which when eaten can cause high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke.
10. Green beans
![]() |
Fake green beans have been discovered in China, made from Chinese beans, soybeans, green dye and sodium metabisulfite (a chemical used as a bleach and preservative). This dye is banned from use in the manufacturing process because it can cause cancer, as well as hinder the body's natural calcium absorption. When boiled, these fake beans do not soften but produce an unusual green color.
