Anh Son farmers overcome the consequences of tornado

(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the impact of the tornado that occurred from 9:00 p.m. on April 9 to 1:00 a.m. on April 10, damaging 300 hectares of spring corn mainly in the communes of Hoi Son, Tam Son, Duc Son and Cam Son, farmers in Anh Son are working in the fields to overcome the consequences and stabilize production.

According to preliminary statistics, the above tornado destroyed nearly 300 hectares of spring corn in Anh Son district, concentrated in Hoi Son, Tam Son, Duc Son and Cam Son communes, of which Tam Son suffered 210 hectares of damage, Cam Son 10.6 hectares, Hoi Son 53 hectares and Duc Son 25 hectares.

The area lost over 70% is 83.5 hectares in Tam Son commune 40 hectares, Hoi Son commune 45.3 hectares.

For some corn areas that can be overcome, people in Hoi Son - Anh Son commune support the corn plants to continue to grow and develop.

According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Head of the Department of Agriculture of Anh Son district, people should go to the fields to take care of the corn areas that have not been damaged, and for the areas that have been broken, they should urgently harvest them to feed cattle.

Mr. Ha Ngoc Linh, village 3, Hoi Son commune, has 5 sao of corn, of which more than 50% was broken. After supporting the corn plants, he was able to save them. He cut the rest and brought them home to feed his cattle.

The Department also proposed that the province have support policies for communes that suffered heavy damage.
