Farmers worried about turmeric leaves turning yellow for unknown reason

Ms. Ngo Thi An in Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district has 5 hectares of turmeric planted since the beginning of 2017 on the hillside land. During the initial care period, the turmeric plants grew well. However, from the beginning of September until now, 3 hectares of turmeric of Ms. An's family have yellow leaves, affecting the growth of the turmeric plants.

Mrs. An's family reported to the professional agency, the District Plant Protection Station, and the station's staff came to inspect, but so far the cause has not been found.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Linh - officer in charge of the Plant Protection Station of Quy Chau district said: The station has sent officers to the site to check. However, up to now, the station has not yet determined what disease the turmeric plant is suffering from. This is the first time the turmeric plant in Quy Chau has shown such strange symptoms.
