Term 2020 - 2025, Nghe An exceeded the national standard school target
Investing in facilities, developing staff, and building national standard schools are solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning in schools. This is also an important goal that localities and educational institutions in Nghe An focus on implementing and exceeding the targets of the 2020-2025 term.
New school, new faith
The school is spacious on an area of over 10,000 m22 With 3 rows of classrooms, functional rooms, offices, library, and multi-purpose hall, this is a project invested by the Do Luong district government and Da Son commune (old) for teachers and students of Da Son Primary School. The project has a total investment value of more than 25 billion VND. Immediately after completion and put into use, the school was also recognized as a national standard school level 2, creating conditions for the school to improve the quality of education and training.

Looking back at the achievements of the past 3 years, Mr. Phan Ba Dong - Principal of Da Son Primary School has not forgotten the difficult days.
It was 2022, the school's facilities were degraded, with only enough classrooms for students. The council's offices were shared. The school did not have any functional rooms, lacked teaching equipment, and many items were makeshift and rudimentary.
Faced with this reality, the school has consulted with the local government to mobilize all resources to invest in building a new school. The implementation, carried out at the same time as Da Son commune (old) was building an advanced new rural commune, received special attention from the government, mobilizing all resources for synchronous investment. In 2024, when the project is completed, not only will the school be successfully "re-standardized" but also upgraded.National standard schoollevel 2

Tan Ky Kindergarten is a key school of Tan Ky commune, so in addition to the task of taking care of and educating children according to regulations, the school is also a place to carry out specialized tasks with high requirements, such as organizing competitions, specialized seminars, and professional conferences at the district level. From the above reality, investing in facilities and building a national standard school is an inevitable requirement.
During the past term, with the timely attention of local authorities and departments and organizations, the school mobilized more than 1,000 working days and over 7 billion VND to build and improve the school's facilities.
To do that, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly - Principal of Tan Ky Kindergarten said, besides the State's funding, mobilizing social resources is one of the key factors. Thanks to good ideological work, the policies to build standard schools are supported by the people and parents.

Raise the standard,improve quality
The Resolution of the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025, set a target that by 2025, the rate of schools meeting national standards in the whole province will reach 75-78%. However, at the end of 2020, according to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, most of the schools that have not met national standards are located in areas with difficult socio-economic conditions.
Mobilizing local resources to invest in building infrastructure still faces many difficulties; the educational environment is not uniform; the people's investment in their children's education is not commensurate. Besides, schools are facing shortcomings in the teaching staff, both in quantity and quality... Given this reality, finding measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of building schools that meet national standards is an extremely urgent issue.

To achieve the targets set out in the Resolution, over the past 5 years, localities and departments in the whole province have focused on directing with many practical and effective solutions. On the one hand, maintaining and improving the quality of schools that have met national standards, promoting the effectiveness and spread of educational quality in the area.
On the other hand, direct localities and schools to focus resources on building, recognizing new or upgrading national standard schools in the localities, closely linking the construction of national standard schools with the new rural construction movement.
At the same time, during the implementation process, many localities have had positive solutions, coordinating with local mass organizations to build facilities, staff and teachers to ensure teaching and learning services, doing a good job of socializing education and mobilizing children to go to school, preventing dropouts...
At Quy Chau High School, although located in a difficult socio-economic area, in the past term, the school has completed the goal of building a standard school and been recognized by 2022. During the implementation process, the school has mobilized over 15 billion VND from the budget and socialized sources to invest in facilities and teaching equipment. Thanks to synchronous investment, over the past 5 years, the school has always been in the top of the mountainous districts in terms of the rate of students passing graduation and university and college entrance exams, many students have been awarded by the Provincial People's Committee for achieving high scores...

On the part of the Department of Education and Training, in its role as a consulting and management agency, the Department has proactively coordinated with the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, etc. to implement programs and projects under the National Target Program. At the same time, it has taken advantage of domestic and foreign programs and projects to invest resources in education, focusing on prioritizing education in mountainous and ethnic areas.
In recent years, the Department has also proactively coordinated with the District People's Committee to review and arrange the network of schools, especially in mountainous and ethnic minority areas, gradually reducing the number of separate schools. Thereby, helping to save and effectively use investment resources for education; resolutely implementing mechanisms and policies to ensure resources for education in the area that have been issued by the Provincial People's Council.
In the process of implementation, identifying the teaching staff as the decisive factor in the quality of education, over the years, the Nghe An Education sector has always paid attention to the work of building and fostering the teaching staff to meet the increasingly high requirements of educational innovation.

In particular, in recent years, the Department has proactively coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to advise the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ministry of Home Affairs submitted to the Central Organizing Committee to supplement thousands of positions, contributing to reducing the pressure of teacher shortage at preschool, primary and secondary levels in the province.
With many efforts, at the end of the 2020 - 2025 term, Nghe An education sector reached the finish line early, with the rate of standard schools reaching 80.5% with 1,169 schools, exceeding the target set by the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress.
The effectiveness of national standard schools has strongly impacted the appearance of teaching quality and educational results throughout the province, making Nghe An education continue to be a bright spot, at the top of the country.
This is also the basis for Nghe An education sector to pioneer in building and effectively implementing a number of school models and educational activities to implement the 2018 general education program, creating breakthroughs in fundamental and comprehensive innovation, developing learners' qualities and capacities.
