Nghi Loc meets the requirements of school size and improves the quality of education.

Focusing on developing the education sector, Nghi Loc district has mobilized the participation of the entire political system, combining resources to strengthen conditions, meet the scale of schools, improve the quality of education associated with the 2018 General Education Program and the work of building national standard schools.

In the process of directing the construction of national standard schools (TCQG), Nghi Loc district has always identified it as a key task, both a goal and a driving force for construction and development, and improving the quality of comprehensive education. Party committees, authorities at all levels and the education sector have synchronously deployed solutions, focusing on issuing resolutions and programs of the District Party Committee and plans of the District People's Committee on education on the basis of closely following the actual situation and specifying the requirements and tasks of education work in each period.

The District Steering Committee for National Standards Development conducts a comprehensive review of the current educational situation in the district and in each locality and educational unit; determines the roadmap for building national standards in the district in each period; develops and promulgates a specific annual plan for building national standards regarding targets and content of standards and criteria that need attention and direction; promulgates regulations for close coordination between specialized departments (Education and training, economics - infrastructure, finance - planning, natural resources and environment...).

In particular, special attention is paid to expanding school areas, appraising designs according to national standard school regulations; orienting and directing localities and schools to integrate and combine plans to re-appraise level 1 standard schools, while aiming to build level 2 standard schools; maintaining the title of schools in the appraisal and re-recognition of national standard schools; regularly consulting, inspecting, urging, removing and resolving difficulties and arising problems. The District People's Committee advises the District People's Council to support funding for standard construction, the support level of each year is higher than the previous year; up to now, the district is maintaining a support level of 500 million VND/time of achieving standards and providing timely support to localities.

Based on the district's orientation, the steering committee for building standard schools of communes and towns determines the roadmap for resource investment in order of priority for schools in the area associated with the state of degraded facilities, increased educational scale and the policy of building new rural areas and advanced new rural areas; schools focus on consolidating and perfecting professional tasks; localities and schools agree on implementation solutions and commit to the district on completion progress.

With the spirit of determination, decisiveness, flexibility, innovation, creativity and consensus of the people; in the period of 2020 - 2025, localities in the whole district have invested over 1,000 billion VND in building and upgrading the school infrastructure system. In the 2022 - 2023 school year, the whole district will build 5 new multi-function houses, 165 rooms (including 102 classrooms, 63 administrative, support and other auxiliary rooms) - increasing the rate of solid classrooms, meeting the standards of 3 levels to 1368/1414 classrooms, reaching 97%; 1071/1389 classrooms have smart TVs to actively support the innovation of teaching methods and techniques (reaching 77%). During the year, the three levels of education mobilized over 12 billion VND and many materials from the social sector to build, renovate, purchase facilities, teaching equipment, etc. to meet the conditions for building a school that meets national standards.

Sharing with us, teacher Trinh Thi Hai Yen - Principal of Nghi Hoa Kindergarten, said: "Implementing the plan of the District People's Committee on quality assessment and national standard schools in 2022, Nghi Hoa Commune People's Committee has paid attention to drastically investing in building new facilities; along with that, the school's teaching activities always ensure discipline; innovation in teaching methods and testing and evaluation are focused on... to meet the conditions for a national standard school at level 2".

At the end of 2023, we had the opportunity to return to Nghi Hoa Kindergarten; the school now has spacious facilities, a clean campus with 2 high-rise buildings, 1 level 4 building with 10 classrooms and many functional rooms to ensure the care and education of children. That is the result of efforts to build a school that meets national standards level 2.

Up to now, in Nghi Loc district, 83/84 schools (preschool, primary, secondary) have been recognized as national standard schools, reaching a rate of 98.8%; of which 26/84 schools have reached level 2 standards, a rate of 31%, ranking first in the province in terms of quantity and quality of national standard schools. It is expected that by April 2024, Nghi Loc will have 100% of schools meeting national standards, completing early the target set by the Resolution of the 29th District Party Congress (term 2020 - 2025).

In addition, the district directed the Education sector to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management of education and training, supplement the strategic plan for school development; innovate school management towards autonomy, take responsibility before society for the commitment to ensure the quality of output of each level of education, associated with the 2018 General Education Program; innovate methods, forms of organization and technical means of teaching and education; diversify and be creative in communication work and educational methods to mobilize resources for school development. Since then, the comprehensive education quality of Nghi Loc district has clearly developed, the quality of admission to grade 10 in 2023 increased by 9 levels compared to 2022, ranking 4th in the province; the quality of key education has gradually improved.

Ms. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet - Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said: "In the coming time, the district will direct localities and the education sector to continue reviewing the school network system, pay attention to completing facilities and improving the quality of staff and expertise; strive to maintain good national standards, increase the rate of national standards level 2 to 30% - 35%; build educational models associated with the construction of advanced new rural districts and model new rural communes, contributing to the successful completion of the goals set out in the Resolution of the 29th District Party Congress".
