Giving Tet gifts to the poor in Nghi Loc and Con Cuong districts
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 22, comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chief Prosecutor of the Southern High People's Procuracy, Chairman of the Association of Nghi Loc District and Cua Lo Town in Ho Chi Minh City, together with leaders of Nghi Loc district, presented Tet gifts to poor households in the district.

The delegation visited, encouraged and presented 100 gifts to poor households and households in difficult circumstances in Khanh Hop and Nghi Tien communes. Of which, Khanh Hop commune received 50 gifts and Nghi Tien commune received 50 gifts, each gift worth 500,000 VND in cash, the total value of the gifts was 50 million VND. The funding was donated by the Nghi Loc District Association and Cua Lo Town in Ho Chi Minh City.

In Con Cuong district,Volunteer group "Awaken the heart" from Nghia Dan districtalong with benefactors gave 120 gifts to 120 families in difficult circumstances in Bung village, Mon Son commune, Con Cuong district.
Bung village, Mon Son commune is one of the most difficult villages in the district, isolated area, to get to the village you have to take a boat on Giang river for 2-3 hours with rapids and strong currents. Here 100% are Dan Lai people, life is still very difficult.

On this occasion, the group presented 120 gifts to 120 disadvantaged families in Bung village, with a total amount of more than 60 million VND from the source that the volunteer group donated and mobilized from benefactors with the desire to share with the disadvantaged in the area on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2024. Each gift includes cash and necessities for Tet such as rice, cooking oil, seasoning powder, candy, warm blankets, milk, clothes, etc. In addition, the group also donated some medicines to the Military-Civilian Medical Station of Mon Son Border Guard Station located here.
Practical and meaningful gifts have brought joy and encouragement to poor households and households in difficult circumstances, helping them to ease their difficulties and celebrate the traditional New Year more warmly and fully.
