Hot: US President intends to withdraw troops from South Korea
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 14, the Washington Post reported that President Donald Trump appeared to threaten to withdraw US troops from South Korea if he could not agree with Seoul on trade issues.
“We have a huge trade deficit with them,” said a transcript of Trump’s speech at the fundraiser obtained by the Washington Post. “We lose money on trade and on the military. We have 32,000 troops stationed between North and South Korea. Let’s see what happens.”

South Korea, a US ally, is among the economies that have come under attack from President Trump over its trade deficit with the US. Last year, President Trump threatened to scrap the bilateral trade agreement between the two countries, known as Korus. Renegotiations of the agreement began in January./.
