Female commune vice president used fake red book to borrow 600 million

According to Mr. Vo Thanh Liem (Deputy Secretary of Duc Hoa District Party Committee), Ms. Suong used the red book as collateral to borrow money from a bank located in Duc Hoa District. However, after checking, this red book was not issued by a competent State agency.

According to the records, Ms. Suong mortgaged her red book to borrow 100 million VND but the bank did not detect it. Some time later, she continued to bring another red book to the bank to borrow 500 million VND but it was discovered that this paper was not issued by a competent State agency. The authorities checked and discovered that the red book that she mortgaged to borrow 100 million VND before was also fake.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Secretary of Duc Hoa District Party Committee, said: "Ms. Suong's mortgage of a fake red book to borrow money shows signs of a fake document ring." District police are investigating the case.
