(Baonghean.vn) - After the rain last night (May 3), the water level in Que Phong's rivers and streams rose, forcing teachers at Tri Le 4 Primary School - a "unique" school that has not had a female teacher for the past 36 years - to carry their carts across the river to make it to class on time.
Teacher Lang Viet Hung - Tri Le 4 Primary School shared: "Yesterday evening (May 3), there was a long and heavy rain, so the water from the mountains and hills increased, causing the water level of the rivers and streams to rise, making it difficult and dangerous for people to pass through these roads. The high and fast-flowing water was very dangerous, many people had to wait for the water to recede before daring to carry their vehicles across. Photo: Manh Hung
To be on time for class, as well as to return home after class, 18 teachers of Tri Le 4 Primary School, when crossing the river in Na Ong Loc, about 7km from the main school, had to stop to check the depth and then together cut tree branches on the side of the road to carry their motorbikes across the river. It is known that the road from National Highway 16 in Na Ac, Chau Thon commune to the main school is only 10 km long but crosses many streams. Flooded areas require carrying vehicles, and non-flooded areas are extremely slippery when it rains. Photo: Manh Hung
Traveling is still a nightmare for teachers, staff and people here. That is why Tri Le 4 Primary School has become famous nationwide with the Impressive Award for 44 teachers as "Person of the Year" 2017 voted by VTV. Photo: Nguyen Hiep
