Facebook boss buys neighbor's house to... demolish
To avoid being watched by his neighbors, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg spent $30 million to buy 4 houses so he could... destroy them.
According to the Palo Alto city plan, California, USA, submitted on May 24 (local time), Mark Zuckerberg intends to raze the million-dollar apartments he bought in 2013.
The luxury apartments will be replaced by new, more modest homes. The plans say the new homes will be just 80% the size of the previous units, but will still provide the Facebook mogul with complete privacy. The new homes will feature “white brick walls, dark steel doors and windows, and dark gray metal roofs.”

Previously, after Zuckerberg bought a house in Crescent Park in 2011, there was information that he bought back the neighboring houses.
“I wonder if he’s building a house to live in or creating a place that will be busy with employees and visitors,” a neighbor told the Mercury News. The resident was concerned that it could “cause traffic and safety issues in the area.”
There’s no word yet on how long the project will take, but Zuckerberg plans to demolish four homes at a time to minimize the impact on the remaining neighbors. This could be a lesson learned, as when the Facebook CEO renovated his $10 million San Francisco home in the past, his neighbors suffered for nearly two years.
