Former President Donald Trump called nuclear weapons America's main problem, and stressed they should never be used.

According to TASS on August 30, former US President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, called nuclear weapons the main problem for the US and the whole world.
“In my opinion, the biggest problem in our country and in the world is nuclear weapons,” Mr. Trump told a crowd of supporters in Wisconsin.
“This is a weapon of unprecedented destructive power, and we must ensure it is never used,” Mr. Trump added.
Regarding the US presidential election race, in a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on August 29, Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is leading Republican candidate Donald Trump by 45% - 41%. Previously, in a similar poll at the end of July, Ms. Harris was only ahead of Mr. Trump by one percentage point.
The poll was conducted over eight days, ending August 28, with more than 4,250 American adults, including more than 3,500 registered voters. The survey has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.
In recent weeks, polls have shown that the race for the White House has been “reversing” compared to the summer, with the Democratic candidate gradually improving his position compared to the Republican candidate.
In the seven states with the closest election results in 2020: Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Michigan and Nevada, candidate Donald Trump still leads candidate Harris by 45% and 43%.
