Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuy re-elected Chairman of Hoang Mai Town People's Committee

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 21, the People's Council of Hoang Mai town, term II, 2016-2021, held its first session to elect key positions of the People's Council and People's Committee according to the law.

Attending the meeting were comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

The meeting approved reports on the results of the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term; a summary report on the results of voter contact to campaign for candidates for the People's Council of the town for the 2016-2021 term; and a report on the confirmation of qualifications of elected deputies to the People's Council of the town at the first session of the 2nd term, 2016-2021 term.

Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented flowers to congratulate the Standing Committee and committees of the Town People's Council, term II.

The election was conducted in accordance with the law, with a voter turnout of 98.6%. Of which, Hoang Mai town had 1 elected delegate to the Provincial People's Council, 33 elected delegates to the Town People's Council and 267 elected delegates to the People's Councils of communes and wards. At the meeting, the Town People's Council delegates voted to elect the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Town People's Council for the 2nd term, 2016-2021.

Delegates vote for statutory positions.

As a result, Mr. Doan Hong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Council, term I, 2011-2016, was elected as Chairman of the Town People's Council, term II, 2016-2021 with a 100% rate; Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuy - Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Committee, term I, was elected as Chairman of the Town People's Committee, term II, 2016-2021.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Doan Hong Vu requested the members of the Town People's Council to base on their functions and tasks to well perform their responsibilities as people's representatives, strengthen supervision of the implementation of policies and laws, pay attention to considering and resolving voters' recommendations, contributing to the town's further development, striving to achieve the status of a type III urban area by 2020.
