Putin was dissuaded from dangerous trips
Russian President Vladimir Putin is sometimes prevented from taking part in dangerous excursions, such as flying with Siberian cranes, but he is "very consistent in these hobbies," press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
Mr. Peskov said this on the air of the TV channel "Rossiya-1" in the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.

"Sometimes people advise Putin not to do it, but he is very adamant about these hobbies," Peskov said in response to a question about whether people try to dissuade Putin from taking dangerous trips, such as sailing with whales in Kamchatka or flying with Siberian cranes.
Vacation in Siberia
Press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said,Russian President Vladimir Putin really loves Siberia, so he enjoyed having a few quiet days off there.
“It is clear that Putin is very attached to Siberia and really loves this land. On the other hand, he has been to the Far East many times, he loves Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana, Crimea. In general, Putin is passionate about different lands, but it is true that he likes to spend a few quiet days alone in Siberia, this is the truth,” Mr. Peskov said.
In late March, Mr. Putin spent a weekend in Siberia with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. They rode ATVs and hiked through the taiga. The defense chief also showed the president his workshop, where Mr. Shoigu carves various sculptures from dry tree stumps. Mr. Peskov had previously clarified that the two were vacationing in the Tuva taiga.
