Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to ensure that Russia remains one of the five largest economies in the world by 2024, with inflation not exceeding 4%, according to the presidential decree signed "On national goals and strategic tasks of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2024".

"The Government of the Russian Federation shall ensure the achievement of the following national goals for the development of the Russian Federation in the period up to 2024… The Russian Federation moves towards the top five largest economies in the world, ensuring economic growth rates higher than the world level, while maintaining macroeconomic stability, including an inflation rate not exceeding 4%," - as quoted from the decree.

In addition, the Government directed to accelerate the equipping of digital technology in the economy and social fields and the establishment of basic economic sectors, especially in the manufacturing and processing industry and agriculture, sectors with high export-oriented production, developing on the basis of modern technology and ensuring highly qualified staff.
