Trump confirms 2024 campaign will be his last presidential bid
The Republican candidate has ruled out a third run for the White House.

US Republican candidate Donald Trump said he will not seek re-election if he loses to Vice President Kamala Harris in November.
In an interview on the Full Measure television show that aired on September 22, Mr. Trump was asked whether he would consider launching another election campaign in the next four years if this one is not successful.
“No, I don’t think so… I don’t see that possibility,” the former president replied, adding that he remained optimistic about winning this year’s election. “I hope we’re going to be successful,” he said.
Trump had previously ruled out another debate with Harris, after CNN reported that the presidential candidate had accepted an invitation to a debate on October 23.
Ms Harris replaced President Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee amid growing concerns about Mr Biden's electability due to his age and after a televised debate with Mr Trump in June.
“The problem with another debate is it’s too late,” Mr Trump told supporters at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, explaining that “the voting has already begun”.
He previously criticized the ABC debate he participated in with Ms. Harris on September 10 as “dishonest” and “completely staged,” while many of his allies said the debate moderators were biased in favor of the Democratic candidate.
Mr Trump argued that Ms Harris only wanted a rematch “because she lost” and said he would only consider taking part in another live debate if it was held on a “neutral channel”.
Mr Trump was elected president in 2016 after defeating Hillary Clinton. He lost the presidency to Mr Biden in 2020 and has since insisted the election was rigged.
While the US Constitution prohibits a person from serving more than two terms as president, Trump has hinted at the idea of “negotiating” for a third term if he is re-elected.
